Case Study - Markum Solar Farm

At Scout, our landowners are partners in every sense of the word. We understand that the land we lease is not just property, but often a part of rich agricultural family legacies. Not only do we always commit to preserving land for future use once a solar project is done, in the case of the Linn family, ranchers and landowners at Scout’s Markum Solar Farm in Texas, their agricultural legacy never stopped when the solar farm went up.

By starting Lonestar Lambscaping, the family now helps manage the site’s vegetation through sheep grazing, continuing their ranching work on the land in partnership with Scout. Hear from the Linn Family in the video embedded here.
